    AN INTERACTIVE SESSION ON VEDIC VAASTU

    FIRST IP is committed for the cause of promotion of traditional knowledge of India. The ancient vedic literature comprises wonderful knowledge on Vaastu Shastra for the well being of the entire humanity.

    This is an introductory session on the principles of Vedic Vaastu as per the scriptures and practiced  since time immemorial. The effectiveness of these principles is unquestionable even today.

    The panel includes experts from traditional knowledge, Vedic Vaastu and Intellectual Property. The programme details are provided as below:

    FIRSTIP launches slogan, drawing and essay competition on World Environment Day 5th June 2020

    FIRSTIP has launched a competition for creating slogans, drawings and writing essays on the occasion of World Environment Day 5th June 2020. This competition will remain open for all age groups until 10th June 2020 and the registration fee will be NIL.

    1. About Slogan Competition

    Slogan can be created in Hindi or English language. It should not be more than 10 words. The entries can be submitted at competition@firstip.org latest by 10th June 2020. It is open for all categories.

    2. About Drawing Competition

    Drawings or Posters on topic “I OWN MY ENVIRONMENT” can be submitted via email at competition@firstip.org till 10th June 2020. It is open for all categories.

    3. About the Essay Competition

    Topics

    1. Indoor Air Pollution and Remedies
    2. My responsibility for my environment
    3. Lessons from Covid-19 from global environmental point of view
    4. Inner Versus Outer Environment

    It is open only for categories B, C and D. The essay will be in Hindi/English language with 300-500 words. The entries can be submitted by 10th June 2020 via email at competition@firstip.org.

    Announcement of Result: The results of above competitions will be declared on 28th June 2020.

    Benefits: The Best five participants from each category will be rewarded with winning e-certificate and complementary one year student membership of FIRSTIP with free access to forthcoming meetings/events/workshops. The selected essays/slogans will be published on the website of FIRSTIP.

    Who Can Participate: Students from Schools/Colleges/Universities

    Category-A: upto Class 5th [Applicable for Slogan and Drawing Competition only]

    Category-B: Class 6th-8th

    Category-C: Class 9th-12th

    Category-D: Engineering Colleges, Degree Colleges, Universities, Educational Institution and Research Scholars

    Language Options: HINDI/ENGLISH

    Terms & Conditions:

    1. The participant owns the responsibility of the originality of contents of essay/slogan/drawings or posters. The plagiarized entries will be rejected.
    2. The entries should be in .doc or .docx format with a declaration or originality of contents. The drawings/posters should be in .jpeg format with a declaration as to its originality.
    3. Essays/Slogans must be written by individual participant/single person. Co-authored essays or slogans created jointly by more than one person will not be accepted.
    4. The Copyright of the essays/slogans entered will be assigned to the organizer.
    5. Entries submitted by e-mail must include a cover page  indicating (1) your name (2) category (3) age as of June 5, 2020 (4) gender (5) nationality (6) address for communication (7) e-mail (8) phone number (9) school/college/university/institution name (if applicable) (10) title of essay (11) language (12) word count.
    6. The entry should also include your recent photograph.

    ISRO launched Young Scientist Programme (Yuvika) with Online Registration

    The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has launched a special programme for School Children called “Young Scientist Programme” “YUva VIgyani KAryakram” (युिवका) from this year. The Program is primarily aimed at imparting basic knowledge on Space Technology, Space Science and Space Applications to the younger ones with the intent of arousing their interest in the emerging areas of Space activities. ISRO has chalked out this programme to “Catch them young”. The residential training programme will be of around two weeks duration during summer holidays and it is proposed to select 3 students each from each State/ Union Territory to participate in this programme covering state, CBSE, and ICSE syllabus. Those who have just finished 9th standard (in the academic year 2018-19) and waiting to join 10th standard (or those who have started 10th Std just now) will be eligible for the programme. The selection will be based on the 8th Std marks. A few seats are left for the programme from various states.

    The interested students can register online from 25th March 2019 (1800 hrs) to 03rd April 2019 (1800 hrs). The selection is based on the academic performance and extracurricular activities. Students belonging to the rural area have been given special weightage in the selection criteria. The list of the provisionally selected candidates from each state will be announced on 06th April 2019. The provisionally selected candidates will be requested to send the supporting documents through E-mail to ISRO. This Email ID will be intimated to selected candidates. After verifying the relevant certificates the final list will be published on 13th April 2019. The progamme is planned at 4 centres of ISRO during the second half of May 2019.
